Sasaphras Studios was founded by Stephanie Berube in 2013 as an outlet for her creative endeavors. As a visual artist, Stephanie holds degrees in Studio Art and Art History from Hartwick College. She enjoys working in many different mediums, and while she has historically primarily focused on acrylics, is transitioning to more natural mediums. The content of her work is inspired by a range of themes and ideas, including landscape, abstraction, the natural world, and esoteric philosophical concepts.
In July of 2016, Stephanie founded Sasaphras Yoga. A yoga practitioner for the last decade, Stephanie became certified with the 200hrYTT in March 2016 through the Marianne Wells Yoga School. She spent two weeks completely immersed in the training in beautiful Cahuita, Costa Rica. She is also a certified SUP Yoga Instructor and has taken courses in anatomy and yoga history.
In 2021, Stephanie will begin upon an herbal apprenticeship to deepen her knowledge of and connection to plant-based wellness practices. As a dedicated organic gardener for the past several years, she has been exploring and making her own home remedies using homegrown herbs. After completing her apprenticeship, she hopes to expand her business toward multi-faceted wellness offerings.
Bringing together her passion for creativity, movement, and nature, Stephanie hopes to share a little joy and magic with the world and her students.
